PDF Fill & Sign

pdffillandsign.com

Client-side PDF form fill and signature. Load from device or URL, add text and signatures, export the merged file. No upload, no account, nothing leaves your browser.

The problem

Filling and signing PDF forms — submittals, contracts, permit applications — is a constant task in AEC workflows. Most tools require either installing desktop software or uploading the document to a cloud service. For sensitive documents like contracts or permit applications, uploading to a third-party server is often unacceptable.

What we built

A fully client-side PWA for PDF form fill and signature. You load a PDF (from your device or by URL), add overlays — typed text, a drawn signature, a typed signature, or an uploaded signature image — and export the merged result. All PDF manipulation happens in the browser using pdf-lib.

No backend. No IndexedDB or localStorage. No cookies. Nothing persists and nothing leaves the browser. The constraint is explicit: the privacy model is that the document is treated as if it never left your machine.

Built with React, Zustand for state, Tailwind CSS, and vite-plugin-pwa for installability. A CORS proxy fallback handles URL-loaded PDFs that don't serve with permissive headers — the user is warned when the proxy is used.

Current status

Active, fully client-side PWA. Visit pdffillandsign.com to use it.
